Bruno said it best when he called Monday night's "Dancing With the Stars" a "night of miracles" - though the magic happening on the dance floor was anything but a fluke.
After seven long weeks of practice and training, the remaining celebs - Rob Kardashian, Hope Solo, Nancy Grace, Ricki Lake and J.R. Martinez - pulled double-duty by performing both their rehearsed numbers and the dreaded instant jive.
Waltzing back into the lead "in a league of his own," war vet J.R. was able to compose his giggly self long enough to wow the judges in a graceful turn on the dance floor that Carrie Ann called "magic."
"You're like a musical Valentine's Day card," Bruno told J.R., enamored by the leading man's gliding performance.
He and partner Karina pulled in a perfect 30 for their performance - but why stop when you're ahead?
Later on in the night, J.R. performed a nearly flawless jive to Little Richard's "Tutti Frutti," exhuberantly kicking and flicking as the audience roared with approval.
"You've got the X factor and the feel-good factor mixed together," Len assessed. "And you've got the most fantastic jive!"
No surprise, then, when the pair pulled in a second 30 for the night, making their performances the first dual perfect scores of the season.
Fellow frontrunner Ricki didn't have quite such a great experience with the instant jive, however - she and partner Derek only managed to pull in a 24 for their take on the dance, and the talk show host even apologized about "not doing the best" she could have.
Thankfully, then, she and Derek had a great dance earlier in the night with a waltz that had Len swooning.
"You're more like a river," Len commented.
"I love that you lose yourself completely in the dance," Carrie Ann told the humbled talk show host.
Bruno was more succint.
"That was deliciously dreamy," he said.
The other contestants pulled in solid numbers for the evening as well, with Rob and Hope both garnering 9's across the board from the judges and Carrie Ann even hugging the soccer star after her cheery quickstep.
"There was so much joy and love in your dance," the judge told Hope and Maksim.
And miracle of miracles, even Maksim looked floored.
